Sugar & Spice & Everything Nice

Okay, so we're back on the subject of food. Or food products. Or condiments, really.

Enter Tajin. It's a seasoning powder made up of chile, lime and salt. And it's addicting! The label on the bottle says it's "the ultimate fruit and vegetable booster." I just say it's delicious--which is probably why they also have printed on the lid, "this is not a candy." Because while delicious on watermelon, cottage cheese, jicama or in your beer--it's also completely delectable poured into your palm and licked off.

If you are lucky enough to live in a city with a sizable latin population you should be able to find this ambrosia in your regular grocery store. If not, have no fear, it's available on amazon.com as well as mexgrocer.com

Happy licking!

p.s. Not to be confused with the El Tajin archaeological ruins just north of Veracruz. That's an entirely different posting.
